Why communication matters in maternity & neonatal care π¬
Clear, kind communication can make a lasting difference to how people experience pregnancy, birth, and the early days beyond.
Feeling informed, listened to, and involved helps people feel safer, more confident, and more in control.
At Central Cheshire MNVP, we listen to feedback from families to understand what’s working well and where communication can be strengthened — helping services learn and improve for everyone.
If you’d like to share your experience, scan the QR code or drop us a message.
Your voice really does matter π

"We now have our monthly infographic for December 2025! This will be our last monthly one in this design. We will be doing an annual summary for 2025 which is on it's way.
Our new extended version will be ready in February for January 2026 births. We have worked with Central Cheshire Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership to provide the information you want to see." - Leighton Hospital Maternity Unit π

β¨ What are “15 Steps” in maternity care? β¨
15 Steps is a walk-around of maternity and neonatal areas, done together with families, staff and our Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership.
The idea is simple π¬
Within the first 15 steps into a space, you can often sense:
How welcoming it feels π€
Whether it feels calm and organised π
If information is clear and accessibleβΉοΈ
How safe and cared-for families might feel π§βοΈ
By seeing services through the eyes of those who use them, we can listen, reflect and work in partnership to make meaningful improvements for parents, babies and families π
Because every first impression matters.
If you would like to come along to our next 15 steps, please get in touch. We'd love to have you π

Having a baby on the neonatal unit can be overwhelming — and even more so for parents with additional needs. Your experiences matter, and your voice can help shape more inclusive, compassionate care.
If you’re a parent with additional needs and your baby has received care on the neonatal unit at Leighton Hospital, please consider taking a few minutes to complete our feedback survey. Your insight will help make a real difference for future families. π
Thank you for sharing your voice.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and engaged with MNVP this year π
Wishing a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and warm wishes to everyone over the festive period, whatever this time of year looks like for you.
If you’re finding things difficult over the Christmas period, please remember you’re not alone — support is still available, and we encourage you to reach out if you need to. π
Can you help shape maternity care for future families? Get in touch or take out surveys π
Of you need extra support with this, let us know and we will accommodate that π

β¨ Welcome to our Lost Little Ones Space β¨
We wanted to reshare the link to this space. Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time for anyone experiencing loss.π
Grief looks different for everyone, and all losses count. Whether you’re navigating fertility challenges or IVF, the loss of hopes and expectations, pregnancy loss, stillbirth, neonatal loss, or having to let your little one go. ποΈ
We see you. You are not alone. π
Please reach out if you need support.
